Both my degrees are in English Literature with a focus on Medieval & Renaissance Literature. I made this choice because of this Sweet Swan of Avon. I fell in love with Shakespeare and his words.
This piece is mostly acrylic painted over actual pages from Henry V, in particular the St. Crispin's Day speech, among other favorite scenes. William's collar is made from real lace, and his eyes captivate the viewer.
Christine Marie Rose is an emerging watercolorist and an award-winning writer. Since 2015, she's been developing her style as a watercolorist by studying under Tilen Ti, Angela Fehr, and Jean Haines. Before this, she worked mostly in acrylic since 1987, some of which can be seen on this site. Additionally, she's written eleven books since 2008, as well as about two dozen short stories and hundreds of blog posts/articles, under both her name and the pen name O. M. Grey. She's currently working on her travel memoir from being a nomadic petsitter in the UK and Europe for three years.
